Shevington Photographic Social Club started out in August 2022 with just a few people coming together to do what they love.
After sampling some of the Photographic clubs in the Northwest, it was felt that we were able to offer something a little different.
There are a few existing clubs that are an exception to the usual photo club format of competitions, but not in the vicinity of the Shevington community.
Our primary goal is to bring people together to share a common passion and possibly learn some new skills.
But importantly to make new friends, feel a valuable part of the group and most of all have fun!
We offer a wide variety of practical sessions e.g. portraiture, still-life, not so “still-life”, creative techniques and outdoor excursions.
Operating approximately 48 weeks a year including throughout the summer months, we welcome people of any age.
Current members have a wide range of photographic skills, some just starting out. Although we don’t conduct school style teaching, we have several members who have a vast knowledge they wish to share.
From September 2023, we are extending our opening time to enable some of our most experienced members to mentor, or give 1-2-1 tuition sessions from 7pm before the main crowd arrive
This is a valuable resource for members regardless of where they are on their photographic journey
You will find all members are generous with their time, not only to make you feel very welcome, but also help you with your photography. We have a strong core of friendly, genuine and lovely people just waiting to meet you.
Our door is always open to new members, no matter their experience level.
Come join us at our next event — we’d love to share all that Shevington Photographic Social Club has to offer.
Meetings take place every Wednesday evening between 8pm-10pm
